“A word after a word after a word is power.”

—Margaret Atwood—

I spent my 20s backpacking and writing a book pondering language. Particularly how language underlined one specific subculture. Poets and fascists know the value of words. They transport, illuminate, and celebrate. They can also denigrate and malign.

I went to the Defense Language Institute and while I sort of learned Farsi and Dari, what I learned most fluently was lingua Marine: how we spoke of bodies, how we spoke of violence, how we spoke to and of women.

For now, this site is simply a landing page, and redirect to where you can buy the book or find my other writing online.

Right now I’m interested in writing about joy, embodiment, and somatic liberation in the natural world. I am beyond stoked + grateful to live in Lingít Aaní, Alaska.

“Illuminating and infuriating… a staggering acheivement.”
