Welcome. I’m Bailey.
Backcountry enthusiast, sometimes librarian, animist- stoked, forager, baker of scones, malamute wrangler, climber of rocks (and plastic, let’s be real), rainforest dweller, stargazer, yogi devotee, sister, daughter, and friend. Through everything: a devoted, arguably fixated writer and lover of language.
Read, co-create, and dream.
“Illuminating and infuriating…. a staggering achievement.”

Everything Hollow: A Memoir of my Body in the Marines.
In my own work and in yours, I offer devotion. Work with me for a personalized, deeply empathetic relationship to encourage and illuminate your writing.
“We are all just walking each other home,” as our man Ram Dass said.
I am not on social media, have discontinued unpaid online writing, and pretty much am just on track to drop a full-ass book every five to eight years, so short of sending a homing pigeon (please send me a homing pigeon) or dropping by for my classes in Tlingit Aani, Alaska, this is how we become friends.
I am extremely slow (like, a year) but I will respond to every letter.
A word after a word after a word is power.
