I hope my work helps illuminate the dark world of an eating disorder, and that those struggling with one feel seen. You have my love. If you are struggling with an eating disorder, please try and get help. It can be a maddening and lonely process, but there are really beautiful human beings who would LOVE to hear you.

I also hope my work reaches some women in the military who have never quite been able to make sense of the experience. For those of you in the military, even if you had a totally different experience than me — one of empowerment and increased self-worth — I believe you, I believe in you, and you got this. Give them hell.
